Reach Outfitters
Reach Outfitters’ mission is to deliver hope and encouragement along with household furnishings to people in transitional care and others in need.
They see that practical acts of love that intentionally support changed lives knit our community together. They are giving back that which Christ first gave us.
What does this look like?
Partner with community focused ministries and organizations to support their clients & caseworkers. Elijah Family Homes, iMPACT! Compassion Center, Mirror Ministries, Continuous Care are examples.
Work with Case Managers and Facility Manager to establish needed items. The check list is often similar to furnishing your first apartment.
Go out to community and “Outfit” the “reach list” through garage sales, estate sales (pre-sale, and post-sale culling), senior move managers, and Redeemer members.
Logistics – pick up/temporarily store/pre delivery clean, test and pray/deliver to point of delivery. (Utilize paid or for hire pick up and delivery service when volunteers are not available.)
Deliver provisions and share the best wishes and prayers from Redeemer Lutheran Church and reach Outfitters – look for payer opportunities from clients and case managers.
Congregational Care
Congregational Care’s main purpose is to provide services to church members that may be recovering from surgery or illness or other circumstances where they may require extra help. These services are provided in many ways:
Visits to members in assisted-living or home-bound
Rides to/from church services and other church activities
Meals to members recovering from injury, illness or surgery
Yard work, installation of bathroom grab bars, hand-rails, wheelchair ramps, etc. • Medical device loan program (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, and much more)
Blessing quilts for any member in need of a warm wrap for comfort for any reason
DVD’s of our church service distributed to those that may want to watch but cannot watch via the internet
