Meet Our Staff

Pastor Todd
Meet Pastor Todd

Pastor Todd was born in Berlin, Wisconsin.  His career path to the ministry was not what you could say a “normal” one would be.  Pastor lost his mother to juvenile diabetes in his first year of college.  This put him on the path to becoming a research scientist, hopefully, one day working in diabetes research.  He attended the University of Wisconsin, where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Microbiology.  After receiving his degree, he sent out several resumes to private and university laboratories, except for Milwaukee.  Nothing against Milwaukee.  Since he grew up in Wisconsin, he wanted to see what the rest of the U.S. had to offer.  After all his applications were rejected, he sent an application to the Blood Research Insititute/Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (a close suburb of Milwaukee.)  Wouldn’t you know it – within four days, he had an interview and was hired on the spot.  Pastor’s research centered around working with children who suffered from Sickle Cell Anemia.  While there, he took several courses working towards his Ph.D.  After working at the Research Institute for two years, he found out his investigator’s grant money would run out at the end of the year.

This began a deep internal reflection on what to do next, including entering the ministry and, hopefully, one day being able to use his science skills with theology.

While working in Milwaukee, Pastor Todd met his wife Gina, who also worked at the Blood Research Institute.  I guess there was a reason the Lord sent me to Milwaukee!  We were married in 1998.  Pastor enjoys photography, golf, reading, and yard work outside of church life.  We are proud parents of two Bengal cats.
